Ancient Faith. Modern Community: A Place at the Table for You.
THE ALTAR CHURCH
Sundays at 10:00 am: 233 New Hope Road Anderson, SC 29626

A Different Rhythm of Worship
We believe worship is more than a program— it’s a transformative encounter with the sacred. By reclaiming the depth of the early church and the beauty of the Sacraments, and the power of The Holy Spirit, we find the strength to live with purpose in the mess of modern life.
What can you expect? Whether you’re a lifelong believer or haven't stepped into a church in years, you are welcome here. We gather for a sincere, acoustic blend of familiar hymns and modern songs. Come as you are—from jeans to sport coats—and find a place where you truly belong.

A Place at The Table for You
Zechariah 4:10—"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin"

We are in a season of small beginnings. While our podcast reaches many, our local community in Anderson is built one conversation at a time.

We invite you to help us shape a unique worship community—one anchored in the Bible, the practices of the Early Church, and the realities of modern life. Join us as we build a foundation of "Ancient-Future" faith.
Our Worship Service Flow: About 60 minutes
First, We Proclaim Jesus in Word
Our service follows the ancient and biblical two-part pattern of Christian worship: the Liturgy of the Word, followed by the Liturgy of the Lord’s Table (the Altar). The first part of our service invites you to engage with God through songs of praise, Scripture readings, a sermon, and responsive prayers—creating space to hear, reflect, and respond to His Word.

Children's Church
Children are always welcome and loved here! About 15 minutes into the worship service, kids through 3rd grade are invited, but never required, to take part in Children’s Church. We will always have a spacious Kids Ministry room for a fun and safe place where little ones can learn about Jesus, worship, and play- guided by kind and caring women teachers.

Next, We Proclaim Jesus in Holy Communion
Here we proclaim Jesus through Holy Communion (the Eucharist) and through extended worship in song. This is a special time where we remember what Jesus has done for us, experience His presence among us, and celebrate the unity we share as His people when we eat and drink together in faith.

Kids are always welcome! They can stay in the Kids Ministry area during Communion, or parents may bring them to join in the sacrament—it’s completely up to you.

All who profess faith in Jesus are welcome to come forward to the Altar and receive Holy Communion.

After the Service
We offer prayer for anyone who would like to receive it, creating space for personal needs, healing, and encouragement.
Optional Fellowship Time: We love wrapping things up with some satisfying snacks, and you’re invited! It’s a relaxed time to grab a bite, catch up, and get to know one another.
